Tip, an ABCA red & white rough coated Border Collie, is a working cattle/sheep ranch dog. During the summer of 2008 Tip achieved his ASCA Working Trial Champion in only 3 Trials in two weekends - a feat that typically takes years to accomplish. Tip, at the ripe old age of 10, is now competing occasionally in USBCHA Open Cattle Trials, showing the great durability of a working ranch border collie.

As a sire Tip has an excellent record of producing top quality working border collies with great temperaments out of a variety of dams, nationally and internationally. Abingdon Border Collies currently has three littermates, Kit, Mollie and Reika who have done well both in the trial arena and at home doing day to day ranch work.

Tip, a littermate to Thong, has Rojo, 1990 Reserve North American Trial Champion in his pedigree. Tip’s Sire, Jake Sonoco’s Butch, was a prior USBCHA High Point Dog of the Year in cattle.
